About Me... Alex McCoy
I am very happily married (almost 37 years!) to Michael McCoy. Our younger daughter lives at home with us while trying to decide what to do with her life. She is works at a nation-wide health food store chain, is a certified wedding planner, and spends what time she can with her wonderful boyfriend. Our eldest daughter is married. She, her husband, and our granddaughter live just around the corner. Woohoo!
I live in a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma and...yes, "the wind does come sweeping down the plain."
Michael and I moved to Tulsa from New England 30 years ago to attend college for four years. We decided to stay here and raise our family. Actually, it was a good decision. We home schooled for 14 years, had a good run with a nationally-ranked high school marching band, and had fun establishing ourselves in the community.
The neighborhood branch, where I have worked as a circulation assistant for 19 years, is about an 8-minute walk from my home. I love working with the public. My customers are my friends, my neighbors, and my children's friends. We see each other at the grocery store, sporting events, church.This past May I finished my B.S. in Library Services. When I have time, I do like to read, sew, craft, and go to flea markets.
