About Me... Alex McCoy
I am very happily married (almost 43 years!) to Michael McCoy. Our younger daughter lives at home with us while going to school, working with a high school marching band, and being a nanny. What time is left in her busy life is spent with her wonderful boyfriend. Our eldest daughter is married. She, her husband, our granddaughter, and twin grandsons live just around the corner. Woohoo!
I live in a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma and...yes, "the wind does come sweeping down the plain."
Michael and I moved to Tulsa from New England 30 years ago to attend college for four years. We decided to stay here and raise our family. Actually, it was a good decision. We home schooled for 14 years, had a good run with a nationally-ranked high school marching band, and had fun establishing ourselves in the community.
The neighborhood branch, where I have worked as a customer service assistant for more than 23 years, is about an 8-minute walk from my home. I love working with the public. My customers are my friends, my neighbors, and my children's friends. We see each other at the grocery store, sporting events, church. I earned a B.S. in Library Services. When I have time, I do like to read, sew, craft, and go to steam punk events.
